Dave Bhang has been designing and illustrating since 1964 when he graduated from Chouinard Art Institute with a BFA degree in graphic design.


He has worked in various capacities as graphic designer, art director, illustrator educator and consultant in such diverse areas as Playboy magazine, the Herald Examiner, New West magazine, and design director of Home magazine of The Los Angeles Sunday Times.


He also worked for Warner Bros. Records as an in-house designer until opening his office in 1970, Dave Bhang Design. He has designed album covers for many of the L.A. based record companies. 


His most notable work in that area was the logo and first two albums for the rock group Van Halen.


He has recently completed his autobiography, True Life Adventures of Davey! / The Autobiography of An Artist! printed in a first run limited edition.


His work has been published in The United States, Zurich, Switzerland and Tokyo, Japan.
